Winter Weekend!

Hi friends!
We've got another camp in a week! Are you registered?? If not please get in touch with Dianne ASAP and come and join in the action!

Next question: HAVE YOU APPLIED FOR SUMMER YET?? For most of you the answer to this question is "NO". Why not?? Don't leave it for last minute!! Waiting for your parents to do it for you? I am really hoping the answer to this one is also "NO!". Why not? Because you are old enough and responsible enough to do it, right? Of course right! ;) I believe in you!!
So far I have about three applications for Apprenticeship (and one accepted!!) and two for Mentorship! Sojourns have you beat! I have 9 applications in and 6 already accepted!

I want to throw a shout out to Lisa - I caught her show the other night (Sound of Music at CCS) and she was GREAT! The cast and crew put on a fabulous show (and Eden and I nearly died when the cast snuck in 'storm troopers'!). 

As always, keep in touch and let us know if there is anything we can do for you! Remember that we are praying for you and are behind you cheering you on! Let us know if you wanna go for a cup of joe and chat about anything - good, bad or indifferent!!

I wanted to also mention the dress code for winter camp as we tend to forget about what we wear in the winter. Last weekend there were several people I needed to remind about clothes. Please take a read at the posting below.

Winter Camp Appropriate Apparel

To maintain a professional environment where parents can feel comfortable leaving their children, Camp Chestermere has a required dress code that both staff and CLTDs are expected to follow.

Please remember that you are an example to those who attend camp and that your actions will be emulated by those who look up to you. We challenge you to be the best example you can be!

General:

• Please refrain from wearing PJ’s and fitness apparel during the day. 
• Please keep clothing and make-up gender appropriate
• Slogans on all clothing should be kept within Christian values

Pants and Shorts:

• You may wear jogging pants to fireside and after only.
• Leggings and tights are suitable under skirts or shorts but please avoid wearing without such coverings
• Should sit on or above hips (fully covering underwear)
• Shorts – please ensure the inseam on all shorts is at least 2”

Skirts:

• Must hang to at least the knees
• Please wear shorts or leggings underneath

Tops:

·      No belly shirts or midriff revealing shirts

·      Necklines that are modest and covering cleavage while standing or bending over

·      Undergarments should not show through

·      No strapless tops

Winter Wear:

·      It is required that winter jackets and appropriate winter wear in on while outside in the cold.

·      It is excepted that coats (not sweaters) are worn in temperatures colder than +5˚

THE MAIN POINT: Err on the side of conservative and if you are unsure consult with your direct report.
